These terms govern your use of longacreequipment.com and any reservation, purchase, or offer you submit through it. Long Acre Equipment Co. ("Long Acre," "we," "us") is a SLANTD Holdings company based in Mansfield, TX. By using this site, you agree to these terms.
Requests, not confirmed transactions
This is the most important part: nothing you submit through this site is a confirmed booking, sale, or accepted offer. Every reservation request, purchase request, and offer is exactly that — a request. Long Acre staff confirm equipment availability, the exact dates, pricing, and any deposit by phone before anything is locked in. This matches the acknowledgment you're asked to check when you submit a request on the site.
Pricing and availability
Displayed day/week rates, resale asking prices, and delivery fees are current estimates, not guarantees. Pricing and availability can change without notice until a request is confirmed by phone. An offer you submit on a resale item is not binding on either side until Long Acre reviews and confirms it.
Rentals
Rentals are by the day or week as shown at the time of your request. A refundable deposit is due at pickup for rented equipment, in the amount confirmed with you before pickup. Bring the equipment back by the agreed return date, or call ahead if you need it longer — we'd rather hear from you than guess. Equipment should be returned in the condition it was rented in, ordinary wear expected; damage beyond that will be discussed directly with you before any charge is applied.
Resale items
Items listed under Resale are surplus or end-of-life equipment sold outright, separate from the rental fleet, and sold as-is unless we agree otherwise in writing at the time of sale. Asking prices are starting points — you're welcome to submit an offer instead of buying at the listed price.
Pickup and delivery
Pickup at our Mansfield yard is free by appointment. Optional delivery is $125 round-trip within 15 road miles of the yard, $175 from 16–25 road miles, and quoted directly beyond that. A rental isn't final until we've confirmed the delivery address and site access, the delivery charge, your deposit and payment, and the schedule.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate name and contact information so we can reach you about your request.
- Use equipment you rent or buy safely, lawfully, and for its intended purpose.
- Let us know promptly if plans change — dates, delivery address, or if you no longer need a reservation.
Site content
The text, photos, and design of this site belong to Long Acre Equipment Co. / SLANTD Holdings unless otherwise noted, and are here to help you evaluate equipment — not for reuse elsewhere without asking us first.
No guarantees, reasonable limits
We do our best to keep listings, availability, and pricing accurate, but this site draws on a live inventory system and things can occasionally be out of date between updates — that's part of why nothing is confirmed until we talk to you directly. To the extent allowed by applicable law, Long Acre isn't responsible for indirect losses arising from delays, listing errors, or equipment issues, beyond making things right directly with you on the specific rental or sale involved.
TODO (needs a legal/ownership decision): a specific limitation-of-liability clause with defined caps, a damage/late-return fee schedule, and formal warranty disclaimers for resold equipment have not been drafted with legal input. The paragraph above is a good-faith, plain-language placeholder, not a reviewed legal clause — treat it as provisional until an attorney looks at it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the business or the site changes. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the current version.
TODO (needs a legal/ownership decision): governing law and dispute- resolution jurisdiction for these terms have not been specified. This is intentionally left blank pending an actual legal decision rather than assumed (Long Acre operates out of Mansfield, TX, but that alone isn't a substitute for a reviewed governing-law clause).
